We need a candidate who fights for the dignity of us all, not someone who derides and insults Latinos, Muslims, LGBTQ brothers and sisters, women, and the handicapped.
We need a candidate who knows that the mass incarceration of black men in this country is an injustice to all of us, not a candidate who mocks civil rights activists and hosts neofascist rallies.
We need a candidate who knows that women’s work is equal to men’s work and that women’s bodies are their bodies, not a candidate who thinks a woman is best when she’s a “10” or should be imprisoned for exercising her constitutional right to choice.
We need a candidate who works for peace, security, and multilateralism, not bluster and the threat of nuclear proliferation.
We need a candidate who recognizes that climate change is a challenge to be faced with justice and creativity, not cartoonish statements about Chinese “hoaxes” and contradictory statements about energy.
We need a candidate who will fight for the least among us, for those strapped with massive college debt and those who are denied health insurance, not someone who will transfer more wealth from the 99% to the 1% and deny health care to millions.
We need a candidate who will work with us to build a future we believe in.
